# Notes Organizing Principles
This note documents the principles to follow throughout the whole notes
organizing systems.
## Golden Rules
- Use built-in features whenever possible.
- Use tags whenever possible, don't define metadata.
- Use universal features whenever possible.
- Don't be persnickety about all-in-one.
- Maximizing compatibility without sacrificing ease of use.
- Distinguish the things that wrote and things that you took note of.
